BEGINNINGS
My passion for wine was forged after several trips to the best wine regions of the world, where I discovered that being a winemaker is a beautiful way of life.
2003
My wife María and I started this life project.
We are non-conformist and adventurous, so after introducing you to our company, some of you will think we are crazy, and others will be eager to meet us.

2014
Due to the business structure, the good work and the quality of its wines, Bodegas Rodríguez y Sanzo was named Best Winery in Spain.
2017
We consolidated our international recognition with expansion across the 5 continents, and began our Nonconformist stage.
2018
Javier and María turn 50 years old, and Javier produces Whisba as a gift to their friends and family. Aged in whiskey barrels, it soon becomes one of the winery’s most representative wines.
2022
We expanded our project in Toro with the acquisition of a winery in the old town next to the Convent of Santo Domingo, where our most mystical wines are produced.
2023
We are celebrating our 20th anniversary in our new winery in Rueda and we take this opportunity to present Whisba 24. A very special edition of pre-phylloxera vineyard.
